Cerakote application is a valuable skill that requires practice, and we’re here to eliminate the learning curve. Our goal is to provide you with the education and hands-on experience you need to start coating and engraving like a pro.

This training is fully customizable to fit your needs—whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics of Cerakote or an experienced professional wanting to refine your skills. You’ll get the chance to Cerakote your own firearm (or we can provide one for you) and learn how to laser stipple your Glock. This is an intensive, hands-on class aimed at equipping you with the skills to take your work to the next level.

What if we don’t cover something I wanted to know?

We recommend bringing a list of questions with you. It’s easy to forget details when you’re in the moment, and a list will ensure that we address all of your concerns. If any questions come up after class, don’t hesitate to call or email us—our support continues after the class ends.

Do you offer support after training?

Absolutely! We welcome all trainees to reach out via phone or email with any questions or concerns. We are dedicated to your success and are more than happy to provide guidance as you continue to refine your skills.

Do you have enough equipment for everyone in the training?

Yes, we have ample equipment for everyone. However, we recommend bringing your own spray gun so that you can familiarize yourself with it and fine-tune the settings. If you’d like, we can provide an IWATA LPH80 spray gun for you during the class when selected at checkout.

Do I need to bring my own spray gun?

No, it’s not required. We have plenty of spray guns available for use during the training. However, if you’d like to use your own gun, we can help you adjust and calibrate it for optimal performance.

I don’t have a way to prep my guns before coming. What should I do?

If you don’t have the ability to prep your firearms, we recommend shipping them to us or dropping them off before the first day of training. This will allow us to degrease and gas them out for you, saving valuable training time. Be sure to have your firearms disassembled prior to arrival. If possible, please sandblast your parts using 100-grit red garnet or 100-grit aluminum oxide. If you’re in town early, we can schedule a time for you to use our sandblasting equipment before the training begins.

What if I’m flying and can’t bring my guns on my flight?

No problem! You’re welcome to mail your projects to us in advance. We’ll return them to you at the cost of return shipping. If your projects aren’t completed by the end of the class, we’ll be happy to box them up and ship them back to you once they’re done.

What is the nearest airport?

The closest airport is Kansas City International (MCI).

What hotels do you recommend?

There are two hotels located within town, and several more options about 9 miles down the road. We can provide recommendations upon request.

What if I need to cancel?

• Up to six weeks before the training: You can reschedule or receive a full refund.
• Two to six weeks before the training: You can reschedule or receive 50% of your fee back.
• Less than two weeks before the training: We are happy to reschedule, but no refunds will be offered at this point.

What is not included?

• Travel expenses (to and from the shop)
• Lodging
• Meals (other than lunch provided during the class)
• Transportation to and from the hotel and the shop
• Shipping costs for firearms mailed to or from our shop
